Role overview

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Simulation Ward Technician to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare simulation training at the University of Sunderland in London. The successful candidate will have experience in a clinical, healthcare, healthcare simulation or technical support environment and be committed to providing an excellent student and staff experience.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and maintain simulation rooms, equipment and learning resources to support teaching, assessments and events. Set up, operate and carry out routine checks on simulation and clinical equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to staff and students. Maintain stock, equipment and inventory records. Support the safe and effective operation of the Simulation Ward, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Essential requirements

Experience working in a clinical, healthcare, healthcare simulation or technical support environment. Experience preparing, operating or maintaining clinical, diagnostic or simulation equipment. Understanding of safe working practices within a clinical or technical environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
