About the role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive part-time Cleaner Porter to join our friendly Campus Services team within Cleaning and Portering. This role offers a varied workload, and a typical day may include:

Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within designated areas Emptying general waste and recycling bins Assisting with the movement of furniture, equipment, and deliveries Supporting room setups for events, meetings, and teaching activities Responding to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams Ensuring the safe handling and storage of materials and supplies Providing a visible, helpful, and approachable presence for students, staff, and visitors

Please note, this role involves regular lifting and carrying.

Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 5:00am–9:00am. Occasional weekend work may be required, including alternate weekends and university open days or events. Flexible working options will be considered; applicants should state their preferred working arrangements in the application form.

This role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis, 20 hours per week.
