Applications are invited for the post of Head of Commercial Sales and Events in the Commercial Services Department.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational Head of Commercial Events and Sales to develop our Commercial Events Business.
Royal Holloway has an extensive commercial events business including conferences, weddings, summer schools, filming, events, accommodation and day meetings. The total income for this business is in excess of £4million each year.
This is an exciting opportunity for somebody to lead our commercial events business and build it further; it is an opportunity to build a flagship events business, establish world class standards and creating experiences that make the most of our iconic campuses.
We are looking for somebody who can articulate and deliver an exciting and compelling vision for the future of commercial events at Royal Holloway and has the passion and commitment to making events at Royal Holloway a truly outstanding experience. You will be a strategically focused and operationally experienced conference and sales professional with a track record of business development and increasing sales and income, preferably in a Higher Education or similar environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
A track record of increasing income levels though commercial business activity A strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of delivering commercial events in a higher Education environment. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team. A strategic mind set with experience of developing successful new business offerings. A genuine passion for the services you deliver.
