About this role
The Cambridge Stem Cell Institute is an international centre of excellence for stem cell research and regenerative medicine. Scientists in the Institute collaborate to advance our knowledge of various stem cell types and to perform pioneering work in translational research areas, providing the foundation for new medical treatments ( https://www.stemcells.cam.ac.uk/ ). Applications are invited for a Biomedical Research Technician position in the group of Dr Mekayla Storer within the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (CSCI) based at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Our group is focused on understanding why mammals do not regenerate their limbs following amputation. Surprising, it has been shown that some mammalian digit tips (including mice and humans) can regenerate following removal of the tip, demonstrating that mammals are capable of innate tissue regeneration. The successful candidate will provide support for researchers that investigate digit tip regeneration in mice to gain a broad...
