Do you have the experience to deliver group tutorials, large group lectures and can contribute to the development and delivery of KMMS undergraduate BM BS programmes? Do you have recent clinical experience within the NHS? If so then this role may be of interest.

KMMS is a joint venture between the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University and are seeking an Education Fellow (Clinical skills) who will contribute to the development and delivery of the undergraduate BM BS programme in a variety of settings, such as group tutorials, team-based learning, large group lectures, in the areas of assessment, anatomy and clinical skills.

Education Fellows are expected to contribute to multi-station mini-interviews (MMIs), assessment work such as question writing, marking, standard setting & OSCE examination. Clinical Skills teaching takes place on set days of the week within the KMMS timetable – these are exclusively undertaken on Mondays (Year 1) & Tuesdays (Year 2) with workshops running for the full day.

As an Education Fellow (Clinical Skills) you can expect to be involved in:

Undertaking teaching activities for both undergraduate & postgraduate students, including providing support for student learning Participating in the delivery of small and medium size group (workshops & seminars) and full cohort (lectures) including preparation, coordination and administration of teaching sessions Supervising teaching sessions involving clinical simulation which includes modalities such as peer-to-peer examination, simulated manikins, procedural task trainers & simulated patients (actors)

What will you bring to the role?

A Medical/Healthcare degree and/or diploma and recent clinical experience within the NHS Advanced knowledge of the relevant subject area to effectively deliver teaching within the clinical skills theme of the BMBS programme A demonstrable interest in teaching and learning in undergraduate or postgraduate learning and teaching in medicine or a closely related discipline
