About The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)

The Role
The College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time faculty position (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level) in Economics, with a strong preference for candidates with a research profile in Macroeconomics.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct high-impact research and publish in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals Pursue external funding and build research collaborations across VinUniversity's global network Teach undergraduate courses in the BA Economics program, particularly Introduction to Macroeconomics, alongside courses such as Microeconomics, Basic Econometrics, and Big Data in Economics Apply active-learning methods, including team-based, project-based, and action-based learning Mentor students in academic growth, research, and career development Contribute to curriculum design and broader institutional development (senior candidates will also mentor junior faculty and help shape the department's research agenda)
Candidate Profile
PhD in Economics or a closely related field from a reputable university Demonstrated record of (or strong potential for) impactful research, evidenced by publications, conference presentations, or industry collaboration Strong subject-matter expertise and a record of teaching excellence Experience with active/experiential learning methods (TBL, PBL, ABL) Real-world experience in consultancy or policy-making is a strong plus Prior teaching experience in multicultural/international settings, with the ability to support students for whom English is a second language Excellent written and spoken English Minimum of three years' relevant full-time professional experience (required for a Vietnamese work permit for international applicants)
