FTE: 1.0 fte (working 37 hours per week)
Salary: UH9 £58,225 pa to £69,488 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
The Principal Lecturer in Pharmaceutics / Pharmacy Practice will lead and implement the vision and overview of the programme, including teaching, learning, assessment and overall quality of teaching at all levels of study. You will ensure that the vision, curriculum and student experience for the programme is informed by the latest developments, innovation, research and contemporary professional practice, and lead aspects of the writing and development of current and new programmes of study, including annual review, periodic review and enhancement. The Principal Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice will protect the quality and standards of the programme and ensure that all necessary procedures and University regulations are followed.
Skills and experience required
The postholder must possess relevant teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, with the ability to use appropriate teaching, learning and assessment methods or have substantial relevant industry experience. You must possess the breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop teaching and research programmes. You will have an understanding of the educational needs of students and the ability to contribute to curriculum development.
Qualifications required
An Undergraduate degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline. Postgraduate qualification, i.e. Masters and/or PhD (completed or close to completion, e.g. has submitted final thesis) in a relevant field or significant experience. You must also be currently registered on Part 1 of the General Pharmaceutical Council Register and have Fellowship of Advance HE.
