Requirements: Degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, engineering, networking, or a related fieldExperience in OT/ICS security within industrial or critical infrastructure environmentsStrong understanding of OT security frameworks including IEC 62443, NIST CSF, CAF, and ISO 27001Experience in OT risk assessment and network security, including segmentation and industrial protocolsAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly and influence across teamsEligibility for BPSS and SC clearance, including having resided in the UK for the last 5 yearsDesirable: experience integrating OT with SOC/SIEMDesirable: familiarity with OT asset discovery toolsDesirable: knowledge of critical infrastructure regulation, such as NIS and CAFDesirable: experience with ITSM or service delivery frameworks Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of OT cyber security across safety-critical environmentsAct as the technical authority for OT security and ensure controls are risk-based, proportionate, and aligned with recognised standardsAct as design authority for OT network security architectures, including segmentation, zoning, IT/OT boundaries, and air-gappingProvide independent assurance balancing cyber security, safety, and operational availabilityDefine and assure OT security controls, including firewalls, remote access, monitoring, and SOC/SIEM integrationLead OT cyber risk management and incident response activitiesOwn and evolve our OT cyber security strategy, standards, and capabilityCollaborate across engineering, operations, and enterprise security teams Technologies: SupportITSMNetworkSecurity More:

Our Computing Division, through the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions unit, delivers and operates enterprise IT and cyber security services across the organisation. This OT Cyber Security Lead role is based at Culham, Oxfordshire, with hybrid working and an expectation of onsite presence for three days each week, plus occasional travel to other UKAEA locations.
