Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements: Commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer within a professional software environment.Strong HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP development skills.Experience working with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.Good understanding of Git version control.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities within an Agile environment.Experience with Moodle would be advantageous but is not essential.Interest in AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices. Responsibilities: Develop modern, responsive front-end experiences from detailed design specifications.Write clean, reusable and maintainable PHP and JavaScript code.Build and enhance functionality across our customised Moodle platform.Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering best practice.Support fellow developers through collaboration and knowledge sharing.Maintain high software quality through testing and continuous improvement.Write and maintain unit tests and Behat tests where appropriate.Work closely with designers, product managers and engineers throughout delivery.Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborative planning sessions.Troubleshoot application issues and optimise performance.Support scalability, reliability and maintainability across the platform.Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, GDPR and secure development practices.Contribute to quality assurance activities and maintain data integrity.Help improve user experience through product enhancements.Introduce new ideas, tools and development approaches.Embrace AI-assisted development to improve productivity and code quality.Contribute to an engineering culture focused on continuous learning and improvement.
