Requirements: We require strong expertise in SAS 9.4 (DI) and SAS Viya 3.x, including SAS Studio, VA, and VI.We require experience with platform tools such as LSF, Jira, and Platform Support.We require strong hands-on experience with ETL tools, specifically Pentaho and Talend.We require experience with data virtualization using Denodo.We require proficiency in SAS for data analytics and reporting.Oracle experience is desirable.We require a solid understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.We require hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.We require strong SQL and data modelling skills.We require excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.We require a proven track record of delivering data projects and leading teams.Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or relevant data technology certifications are a plus. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and deploy data integration and transformation solutions using Pentaho, Denodo, Talend, and SAS.We architect and implement scalable data pipelines and services that support business intelligence and analytics platforms.We collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver robust data solutions.We champion Agile and Scrum methodologies, ensuring timely sprint delivery and continuous improvement.We drive DevOps practices for CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment of data services.We mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.We ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are upheld across all solutions.We troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues and performance bottlenecks. We are recruiting for an Operational / Data Engineer role on a 6-month contract based in Telford with hybrid working. The role is for a new scrum team within the Minerva Platform, supporting the Preventative Risking team within RIS as we develop and deliver Ingestion and Risking within the SAS Platform, including IDP. The project supports Self-Assessment registration risking and compliance referral processes, with an initial delivery phase targeted for April 2026. The contract offers a pay rate of £500 per day via an umbrella agency.
