Salary: £50,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements: Strong Linux administration experience, particularly Ubuntu, and Windows Server administration.Production virtualisation experience with Proxmox, VMware, or Hyper-V.Experience with software-defined or clustered storage such as Ceph, vSAN, or comparable solutions.SQL Server administration experience, including Always On AG and Windows failover clustering.Enterprise networking experience with Cisco or equivalent technologies, including VLANs, vPC/LACP, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.Scripting and automation experience with Bash and PowerShell.Experience with monitoring and observability tooling, and structured incident response.Typically 3-5 years of hands-on infrastructure or 3rd-line experience. Responsibilities: Maintain and optimise our IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.Support the implementation of new technologies to improve system efficiency.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise downtime.Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure goals with business needs.Ensure all systems adhere to security and compliance standards.Document processes and system configurations for future reference.Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams as required.
