Salary: £63,000 - 91,000 per year
Requirements: Some commercial experience working, ideally within an agency, software house, or in-house development team.Solid experience customising, building, or maintaining WordPress sites, including themes and plugins.Strong grasp of HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.Practical understanding of database interactions and basic query writing with MySQL/SQL.Comfortable using IDEs such as Visual Studio Code, Git/version control, and local development environments.A genuine passion for web technology and a drive to expand our skill set toward Full Stack development.Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue, or experience with TypeScript.Familiarity with Python or other back-end scripting languages.Basic awareness of UI/UX design principles or technical SEO. Responsibilities: Assist in creating, customising, and maintaining bespoke WordPress themes and plugins.Turn design wireframes into clean, responsive, cross-browser compatible web pages.Develop clean, scalable code using HTML, SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP.Learn to write and optimize SQL queries for database performance and reliability.Gain hands-on exposure to deployment processes, AWS cloud platforms, and Linux environments.Troubleshoot functional issues, fix bugs, and implement clean solutions across client sites.Stay curious about emerging web technologies, frameworks, and modern developer tooling.Work closely with experienced developers and designers in a collaborative, design-led environment.Build experience across the full development lifecycle, from front-end WordPress work to back-end logic and cloud infrastructure.Progress toward full stack development with support from a senior mentor and structured training. We are an ambitious digital agency based in Basingstoke, offering a hybrid working arrangement with around two days per week onsite and a comfortable commuting distance preferred, ideally with access to a car.
