Salary: £57,500 - 72,000 per year
Requirements: Extensive experience in Kotlin and the JVM.Strong experience in Java and the full development lifecycle delivering user-centred digital solutions.Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, or Nunjucks.Proven track record of delivering high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions.Expertise in building back-end services using Spring Boot and the wider Spring Framework.Experience in microservices design and architecture, including RESTful API services.Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and DevOps practices including containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.Previous experience working on government or NHS projects, or in a consultancy environment, is desirable.Knowledge of Kafka or other asynchronous messaging systems is desirable.Knowledge of Helm is desirable. Responsibilities: Lead the production of user-centred software, ensuring development follows business requirements and best practice.Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to explore, design, and deliver solutions to complex client problems.Take ownership of software development and deployment pipelines, resolving issues and potential bottlenecks.Communicate and present prototypes, solutions, and progress to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Mentor and coach other engineers to support their professional development.Deliver Kotlin development services to our clients as a Senior Consultant.Lead by example and ensure technical excellence within squads and the engineering community.
