Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year
Requirements: Strong financial analysis capability, including spend modelling, forecasting, and presenting insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial and cloud concepts clearly and concisely.Persistent, proactive, and able to navigate organisational complexity to drive meaningful cost outcomes.Knowledge of cloud pricing models and platform fundamentals, with Azure, Snowflake, and Kubecost desirable.Experience with FinOps practices and cost management tools, particularly Kubecost and cloud-native cost portals, with KQL desirable.Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Finance and technical teams to support cost visibility and decision-making. Responsibilities: Lead our FinOps optimisation agenda across cloud and data platforms, with a focus on Snowflake consumption, Kubecost insights, and cloud-native cost efficiency.Analyse our cloud and Snowflake spend, identify trends and optimisation opportunities, and provide clear financial and technical recommendations.Implement and track cost-saving actions such as rightsizing, workload scheduling, warehouse optimisation, and waste elimination.Develop, maintain, and enforce our cloud and data platform cost governance frameworks, including tagging, budgeting, guardrails, and accountability processes.Oversee cost observability tooling, including Kubecost, Snowflake dashboards, and cloud cost portals, to ensure visibility of usage, forecasts, and budget performance.Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, and financial reporting for our cloud and Snowflake platforms, including chargeback/showback models.Collaborate with our Finance, Engineering, Cloud Ops, and Data teams to embed cost-awareness, support planning cycles, and ensure shared ownership of optimisation outcomes. We are hiring a Cloud FinOps Analyst to work in a hybrid arrangement, with up to one day per week in our Leicester office, just one minute from Leicester station. In this role, you will help shape and govern our cloud financial management practices across Azure and Snowflake, driving cost efficiency, value realisation, and healthy consumption. You will partner closely with our Engineering, Data, Cloud Operations, and Finance teams to build a cost-efficient, data-driven cloud ecosystem, with a strong focus on optimisation, governance, and cost observability using tools such as Power BI and Kubecost.
