Salary: £137,500 - 150,000 per year
Requirements: Active SC Clearance is essential.Experience in enterprise data architecture.Experience with data warehousing, data lakes and lakehouse solutions.Strong background in data modelling and data governance.Experience designing ETL/ELT architectures.Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.Experience with data virtualisation.Experience with analytics and BI platforms such as Power BI, SAS or R.Experience with APIs and data integration.Experience working in Agile, DevOps and CI/CD delivery environments.Experience delivering large-scale public sector or regulated industry programmes is highly beneficial. Responsibilities: Design enterprise data architectures, including data modelling, governance, metadata, lineage and quality.Define modern data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses and lakehouse architectures.Design ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.Advise on cloud-based data platforms, virtualisation and modern analytics architectures.Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to implementation.Support architecture governance, best practice and technical assurance.Work with engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions across Agile environments. We are supporting a major UK public sector digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a high-profile delivery team designing enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions. This is a 6-month contract role based in Telford with a hybrid working pattern of 2 days onsite per week. The role is inside IR35, with a day rate of £550 to £600.
