Responsibilities: We support and maintain business-critical telecoms OSS platforms and production applications.We administer and support internally developed telecoms operational support systems used for network inventory management and automated network configuration.We support integrations between OSS platforms and Cramer inventory environments.We monitor system performance, availability and operational health.We troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, service issues and application faults.We support application deployments, configuration changes and production releases.We develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell Scripting, Python, Java and HTML.We analyse application logs, system alerts and performance metrics.We support network automation workflows and operational scripting activities.We support Cramer database environments and associated administration activities.We assist with network inventory integrity, reconciliation and data quality activities.We support operational users of network inventory, provisioning and fulfilment systems.We implement approved production changes in accordance with change management processes.We perform root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions.We produce technical documentation, support records and operational procedures. We are recruiting for an experienced contract Telecoms OSS & Application Support Engineer to join us in a highly hands-on technical role supporting and enhancing business-critical telecoms Operational Support Systems, network inventory platforms and automated network configuration applications. This is a hybrid role based in Newbury, Berkshire, with remote home-based working. The position is temporary, full-time, for 12 months, with a negotiable gross rate inside IR35 and an ASAP start. We operate within a telecoms operations, OSS support, production support and network operations environment, working closely with enterprise telecommunications infrastructure, high-availability systems and critical national infrastructure programmes. Successful applicants will need security and background screening, including BPSS and SC-level eligibility.
