Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year
Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field8 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in an R&D biotech or pharma environmentProven track record in integration patterns, data flow models, enterprise data models, and cloud-native data architecturesExperience with R&D platforms in biotech or pharma, including clinical system data flow and data product consumption modelsAwareness of the data aggregator vendor landscape and hands-on working experienceStrong knowledge of data modelling best practicesAbility to operate at both strategic and technical levels, and communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to cross-functional audiencesHigh learning agility and genuine motivation to stay at the leading edge of data architectureExperience with knowledge graphs, semantic and logic layers is desirableTOGAF familiarity is desirable Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and evolution of our R&D data architectureCollaborate with the R&D Architecture Lead, Head of R&D Data Strategy, Digital Business Partners, scientists, engineers, and Product teams to align data architecture with our R&D goals and overall business strategyEvaluate emerging data trends and propose innovations to enhance our R&D productivity and enable next-generation research solutionsEnsure architectural compliance with security, scalability, and regulatory standardsMentor technical teams and promote best practices in data architecture across projectsPartner with I&T Enterprise Data teams to ensure our R&D aligns with CSLs strategic directionDefine and promote our future-state vision for R&D data architecture and guide critical architectural decisions shaping our digital initiativesOwn the enterprise data model, define master data sources, and ensure integration across platformsServe as the interface between R&D and enterprise I&T Technologies: CloudFlowSecurityTOGAFAIArchitectSupport More:
