About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MedENT, our primary electronic health record (EHR) and practice management system. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely billing, claims submission, and revenue collection.
Responsibilities
Process and submit medical claims using MedENT for various insurance providersReview patient records and verify billing codes for accuracy and complianceResolve claim denials and rejections promptlyPost payments and reconcile accountsCommunicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal staff regarding billing inquiriesMaintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsGenerate reports and assist with audits as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in medical billing preferredMinimum 2 years of medical billing experience, with at least 1 year using MedENTStrong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codingFamiliarity with insurance guidelines, including Medicare and MedicaidExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
