Job summary
The emotional health service (EHS) sits within our Education Directorate. The service is a dynamic team of Mental Health professionals with a range of professions such as Clinical / Counselling Psychologists, Systemic and Art Psychotherapists. The service sits alongside our Mental Health Support Teams in Schools. The EHS is focused on providing fully integrated, high quality and swift mental health consultation, advice, training and reflective practice for our social care and education colleagues. This is a newly created service, from November 2025 , following our local independent CAMHS review. There are many opportunities for development. We are a supportive group of professionals who recognise that the emotional wellbeing of the workforce is central to the work we deliver.
This role is eligible for a Market Supplement.
You will work across the Kingston and Richmond boroughs.
The working hours for this role are 36 hours per week.
We support flexible working and offer hybrid working. For full-time roles, this typically includes 3 days a week in the office, with potential for home working based on service needs.
Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Clinician in the EHS you will be passionate about improving the mental health of children and young people and putting them at the centre of all you do. In this role you will be part of a small team who are focused on supporting neurodivergent children and their families.You will support our future development of enhanced support for ADHDers & their families.You will provide consultation & bespoke training to Child & Family Help colleagues in Kingston & Richmond on neurodivergence .You will work closely with colleagues in CAMHS, Health and Social Care.You will be part of a team of clinicians providing access to peer supervision and many exciting development opportunities..In this permanent, full-time position, you will benefit from hybrid working with the option of two days home-based, while we remain open to discussing flexible arrangements that support your work-life balance.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
-Experience of working within CAMHS, working with mental health difficulties and neurodivergence; including ADHD and Autism. -Knowledge and experience in delivering evidenced-based interventions for a range of mental health difficulties. -Proven ability to undertake assessments of emotional well-being and risk assessments -Experience of providing consultation and training to a wide range of professionals, including education and social care professionals -Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children, young people and their families. -Advocating the voices of those we are working with. -Proven ability to effectively use data, intelligence and evidence to create meaningful insight and to inform own decision making. -Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, and written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people). -Knowledge of statutory legislation (for example Childrens Act, SEND Code of Practice) and national policy drivers that will affect children's services and your role.
Qualifications Essential
Postgraduate mental health qualification e.g PsychD Clinical or Counselling Psychology, MSc Systemic Psychotherapy, MSc Art Psychotherapy Current HCPC Registration or equivalent UK registration
