Shift Patterns:

11 hr shifts - 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00 7.5 hr shifts - 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, 22:00 - 06:00

Main duties of the job

To provide an efficient reception support service to the Emergency Department, undertaking associate clerical duties and maintaining a caring and compassionate environment.

Job description Job responsibilities

To be able to work on your own under pressure and take responsibility regarding patient care in the Emergency Department. To book patients into the Emergency Department and printing of relevant paperwork. To photocopy Emergency Department documentation. Forwarding copied documentation to GP practices. To make clinic appointments. To ensure paperwork for clinics is collated. To work with Emergency Department computer systems, Lorenzo and clinical portal in accordance with Data Protection Act. To show compassion towards bereaved relatives and direct them to appropriate private area, informing nursing staff of their arrival. Deal with enquires, both by telephone and in person, taking appropriate action and ensuring that confidentiality or personal health data is maintained. Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.
