Logistics Coordinator (Aggregates)

Keep Critical Projects Moving

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our Aggregates team. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective transportation of aggregates including sand, gravel, and crushed stone to customers and project sites. As the central link between drivers, suppliers, customers, and operational teams, you'll play a key role in keeping construction and infrastructure projects running on time and on budget.

What You'll Be Doing Coordinate Deliveries with Precision

• Schedule and manage aggregate deliveries to meet customer requirements and project deadlines.

• Ensure the right materials are delivered to the right place at the right time.

• Monitor daily transport activities and adjust plans as required.

Solve Problems in Real Time

• Respond quickly to unexpected challenges such as vehicle breakdowns, route changes, weather disruptions, or material shortages.

• Implement contingency plans to minimise delays and maintain service levels.

• Make informed decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.

Optimise Logistics Performance

• Maximise vehicle utilisation and load efficiency.

• Plan and adjust routes to improve operational performance and reduce costs.

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve service delivery and productivity.

Be the Communication Hub

• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, suppliers, site teams, and customers.

• Provide clear updates on delivery schedules and operational changes.

• Build strong working relationships across the business and external partners.

Ensure Compliance and Safety

• Support adherence to transport legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.

• Maintain accurate records and operational data.

• Promote safe and environmentally responsible transport practices.
