SUMMARY: Wire Services Representative I is an introductory position into the Wire Services operations area. This individual is responsible for all daily work associated with wire functions (incoming and outgoing), including wire review, release, fraud checks, following up with branch teams and ERM on pending wires, and answering any wire questions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handling general inquires via phone/voicemail, email and Skype • Support frontline and Security department with research and resolution • Perform research on wires as needed. • Insure satisfactory resolution of complaints and problems affecting members or staff. • Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to applicable regulations, and industry guidelines. • Process adjustments and disputes. • Assist the Accounting Department with reconcilement. • Post incoming wires received and release outgoing wires once completed. • Key outbound wires received from all channels, internal and external. • Assist in the management of wire related vendor relationships. • Assess transactional fees as outlined by the credit union’s Truth in Savings Fee Schedule. • Provide data for management reports on a one-off or ongoing basis. • Evaluate and set Members’ risk level on an ongoing basis. • Comply with departmental/credit union policies and procedures with specific focus on OFAC, Reg CC, and NACHA. • Attend a minimum of 1 webinar related to wire risk/policy/procedures • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent. • Minimum 2 years of similar or related experience with credit union/banking.

ADDITIONAL/IMPORTANT SKILLSETS:

• Must be able to work amicably with credit union members and staff. • Able to contribute to the greater whole in a team environment • Must be detail oriented and have strong interpersonal skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to multi-task and various projects in given time frame. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation. Employee will be in an office environment (well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned) typically stationed at a desk or table. Employee will be asked to sit and stand for various increments of time, and to lift/push up 10 lbs. Clerical office duties on various forms of technology are required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

All positions that have lending responsibilities must comply with all requirements under the SAFE ACT, as well as the Credit Union’s policies and procedures related to the SAFE ACT. This includes an obligation on the employee’s part to ensure that NMLA registration pertaining to the SAFE ACT is kept current. The employee must notify the Credit Union within 30 days of any changes that need to be reflected on the NMLS registry.
