About this role
Summary: Safely load and unload machinery with proper tooling and products. Perform manual tasks such as package, crate, label, count, and sort products. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures • Ensure that all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked • Required to meet or exceed production standards • Required to maintain quality standards on all products • Safely load and unload machinery with the proper tooling and product as directed by team leader or supervisor • Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the department • Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees • Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor • Required to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures • Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation • Read and interpret blueprints whenever required by operation • Select the proper tooling and process set-up as directed by team leader or supervisor • Perform other tasks as assigned • Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements Required Skills/Abilities:
• A thorough understanding of the hazard communication program • Must have a total understanding of the shop packets released to the shop floor • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or its equivalent, desired
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
• Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas • Must be able to lift 50 lbs in a safe manner • Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of time • Exposure to heavy equipment or components need to produce product (safety toed shoes required) • Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required) • Must be capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as needed • Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time • Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required) • Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts • Exposure to extreme seasonal temperature conditions
