The ER Technician I functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, Clinical Manager of Emergency Department, and physician(s). He/she assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that he/she has documented competency to perform. The ER Technician adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.
• The ER Technician assists in providing continuum of patient care under the direction of nurses, clinical manager, director, and physicians.
EDUCATION:
• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent • Preferred: Vocational School/Specialized Training
EXPERIENCE:
• None required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
• State of Florida EMT or CNA; • BLS issued under AHA; • CPI within three (3) months of hire into position.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Successfully completes EKG competency within three (3) months of hire into position
