About this role
• This role is responsible for delivering results on assigned Lean Business Transformation priorities within a specific regional area by employing standard Lean methodologies.
• Improve productivity and costs across operational business processes and sub-processes and drive increase in revenue.
• Support and collaborate closely with frontline team members across Patient Services, Laboratories, Logistics, and other key functions.
Internal Tittle: Manager, Business Transformation Work Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days work from home
• Lead low complexity Lean initiatives through all stages of problem solving, implementation, and sustainment. Maintain clear initiative documentation.
• Independently deliver results for delegated problem-solving and operational excellence activities within larger lean initiatives, such as value stream process mapping, time studies, root cause analysis, data collection and analysis, standard work documentation, Kaizen pre-work, DMS Visual Boards and more.
• Apply standard Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Toolkit across all assigned work activities.
• Be a subject matter expert in specific functional areas and segments of end-to-end value streams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal standards for safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.
Required Work Experience:
• 5+ years of cross-functional roles including leadership experience directly applying Lean methodologies.
• Proven knowledge & experience applying Lean methodologies in production/manufacturing or transactional office environments
Preferred Work Experience:
• Lean expertise working in a mature Lean org: Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Shingijutsu Kaizen.
• Experience working in a healthcare organization.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Ability to interact with office and frontline employees at local sites.
• Ability to effectively perform work across multiple initiatives at the same time.
Skills:
• Ability to diagnose current business processes, then articulate an ideal target condition, using Lean coaching methods.
• Prior successful experience applying standard Lean tools.
• Prioritize and self-manage assigned work across initiatives.
• Exceptional communication skills.
Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent relevant experience. Preferred Education: Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering Degree Preferred Technical Training or Professional Licensing: Lean Six-Sigma certification, Shingijutsu Kaizen or equivalent from Toyota, Danaher, GE, AutoCad experience Competencies: Ability to solve business problems with minimal direction, prior laboratory or manufacturing experience, professional presentation skills, basic data analysis
