Trust Doctor (eqv to FY2 ) in Urology Fixed-Term Post: 5 August 2026 - 1 December 2026
We are looking for a motivated Foundation Year 2 doctor to join our Urology team at Whipps Cross University Hospital on a fixed-term basis from 5th August to 1st December 2026, covering a temporary gap in our training rotation. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy, supportive department, working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.

Qualifications Essential
MBBS or equivalent recognised medical degree Full registration with the GMC, with a licence to practice Successful completion of UK Foundation Year 1 (or equivalent) ALS/ATLS provider status

Additional qualifications relevant to surgery/urology (e.g. BSc, intercalated degree)
Experience Essential
Experience working within the NHS Experience managing acutely unwell patients in a hospital setting Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team Previous experience in a surgical or urology rotation

Experience working within a busy district general hospital
Knowledge Essential
Good understanding of common surgical and urological presentations Working knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and incident reporting Awareness of safe prescribing and basic post-operative care

Knowledge of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) principles
Skills Essential
Good clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
