Senior Specialist Clinical Education
Job Description: Responsible for healthcare professional education, clinical expertise, and execution of educational strategy. Utilize knowledge and skills to provide leadership and facilitate Physician and Associate learning and educational activities. Lead projects, mentor peers, and partner closely with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Medical and Clinical Affairs, and other PACE entities globally without direct management responsibility. Job duties: • Develop comprehensive educational curricula and learning materials for aneurysm treatment, stroke thrombectomy, embolization, and other neurovascular procedures. • Create procedural guides, training manuals, videos, and simulation-based learning. • Develop and present on training material for slide presentations, clinical case libraries, training videos, e-learning modules, and competency assessments. Plan and execute hands-on workshops and physician training courses. • Maintain in-depth knowledge of intracranial aneurysm treatment, flow diversion, coiling technologies, intracranial stenting, and acute ischemic stroke thrombectomy. • Interpret emerging literature and translate evidence into educational content. • Lead educational initiatives and support product launches. • Respond to inquiries from HCPs seeking additional training, supporting engagement and driving attendance at upcoming Terumo Neuro Academy programs. • Leads special projects. • Act as back up to Clinical Education Manager. • Mentor junior Clinical Education Associates. • Comply applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization. • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, or related field. • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience working in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industry, including a minimum three (3) years of project/event management. • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and deliver high-quality work within required timeframes. • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information. • Capable of effectively interfacing/communicating with physicians and clinical/technical customers, senior staff/executives, cross-functional team members, global sales, marketing, and business partners, or distributor organizations. • Capability and flexibility to travel to hospitals, meetings, or events and participate in training activities worldwide. • Ability to foster teamwork and a continuous learning environment. • Expertise in MS Office, including advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and related management systems such as Monday.com or others. Desired Qualifications • Master’s degree in business, Science, or related field. • Experience interacting with healthcare professionals. • Knowledge of vascular anatomy with a focus on neurovascular/peripheral catheterization knowledge, techniques, and skills. • Ability to effectively articulate the Organization’s product use, concepts, outcomes, and clinical device protocols and study design. • Collaborative mindset with the flexibility to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently. • Strong sense of ownership and willingness to take initiative to support project success. Physical • Extended period of computer use. • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and speaking. • May be required within the position to be in an environment that can include radiation exposure (such as in Cathlabs). • Moderate lifting, up to 50 lbs. • Domestic and international travel, up to ~50% as required.
