Mgr I- Strategic Ops
Job Description: BAE Systems is seeking a Product Stream Manager to lead the Final Assembly Leverage Module Team at our NHQ Manufacturing Hub. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our production success—ensuring our products are delivered on time, meet the highest quality standards, and are produced with maximum efficiency. You will lead a talented team of supervisors and engineers, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your primary objective will be to provide guidance and oversight to ensure that the program continues to execute. In this role you will leverage your knowledge and experience to help identify and mitigate early warning indicators in support of meeting quality, cost, and on-time delivery targets. This includes fostering communication with internal and external customers, setting focused performance objectives, providing constructive feedback, championing continuous improvement, and helping the team make decisions and drive actions based on data. This is a first shift position working a 9/80 schedule-every other Friday off.
Summary of Responsibilities:
• Lead & Develop: Supervise and mentor a diverse team of Value Stream Specialists, Product Engineers, and Process Engineering teams. You’ll set clear expectations, provide coaching, and build an inclusive environment where everyone can grow. • Drive Operations: Oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring we hit build-time targets and strictly adhere to safety and quality protocols. You will strategically align resources with support to keep the teams aligned and resolve bottlenecks quickly. • Optimize Processes: Use Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency. You’ll analyze key metrics (throughput, efficiency, and utilization) to create data-driven action plans. • Collaborate: Act as the key link between the Manufacturing Con-Op and the Operations Program Mangers, Quality Engineers, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to solve constraints and support production releases, RTG efforts, and new product integration. • Ensure Compliance: Support the team through audits and customer engagements, ensuring all work instructions are accurate and company policies are followed. • Strategic Operations: Work with and support a future state view of the manufacturing spaces, working through Kaizen events, and utilizing RCCP and Capacity data to align the factory for surge and ramp potential.

Required Skills and Education: Required Education, Experience, & Skills • Bachelor's Degree OR 6 years work experience or equivalent experience • Experience with managing people in a manufacturing environment. Hiring, developing, coaching, and leading high-performing teams • Motivating and managing direct labor workforce • Establishing and Monitoring performance to targets. • Interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers. • Experience in Electronic and Mechanical Assembly operations with consistent pattern of delivering superior performance. • Experience in high volume, high complexity, manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronics field.
Preferred Skills and Education: Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills • Bachelor's Degree in Technical field and 8 years work experience. • Experience leading Kaizen teams and applying lean principles throughout the value stream. • Lean Six Sigma Certification. • Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, and/or Quality experience. • Familiarity with IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 class 3 requirements.
