PURPOSE - Compliance function for our High Net Worth (HNW) business
• Lead the build and maintenance of group- wide compliance support to our HNW business
• Define priorities of the HNW compliance function in close collaboration with the Group HNW team
• Work closely with the BUs who handle HNW business and provide insights and direction on the buildout of our HNW compliance workflows and IT. Help identify and implement external databases that will help FWD onboard clients easier/faster.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES – Compliance Oversight
• HNW and cross-border sales compliance oversight
• HNW customer onboarding, source of wealth reviews, and enhanced due diligence oversight
• HNW product governance and new initiative reviews
• Regulatory engagement relating to HNW and cross-border activities
• Coordination with Legal, Product, Operations and Compliance FCC teams on HNW strategy initiatives
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to Compliance teams across the Group
• Proactively escalate issues of concern to Compliance and Risk senior management where non-financial risk issues arise
QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• 12+ years' experience in regional or global financial institutions (insurance or banking)
• Direct experience supporting HNW channels
• Strong AML and sanctions experience
• Bachelor or equivalent degree in legal, accounting, business, or finance
• Business acumen to drive transformational changes while balancing the interests of relevant stakeholders
• Expert stakeholder management and executive communication, including experience in managing different Asian cultures and ability to influence without authority.
