About this role

As our client base and platform footprint continue to grow, we're investing in our incident management capability and are seeking a Senior Incident Manager to join the team. This newly created role will be responsible for coordinating the resolution of major incidents, ensuring issues are managed efficiently, stakeholders remain informed, and lessons learned drive continuous improvement.

This is not a hands on technical role. Instead, you'll lead and coordinate the incident management process from escalation through to resolution, bringing together technical and business teams, driving clear communication, and ensuring incidents are managed in line with established processes. You'll also play a key role in reporting, trend analysis and identifying opportunities to improve service stability as our platforms and client base continue to grow.

The responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating the resolution of major incidents from initial escalation through to resolution. • Owning the incident management process and ensuring incidents are managed in line with agreed procedures. • Bringing together technical and business teams to drive timely resolution of critical incidents. • Acting as the central point of coordination during major incidents, ensuring clear actions, ownership and progress tracking. • Providing regular updates and communications to stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle. • Working closely with Production Support, Service Delivery, Testing, Delivery and Project teams, particularly around platform releases and change activity. • Leading post incident reviews to identify root causes, lessons learned and opportunities for improvement. • Producing management reporting and analysing incident trends to identify recurring issues and areas for improvement. • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance FNZ's incident management capability and service resilience. • Supporting the growth of FNZ's operations by helping build mature and scalable incident management processes. • Contributing to projects and process improvement initiatives that improve operational efficiency and client outcomes.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

• Experience in incident management, service operations, technology operations or a similar coordination focused role. • A confident communicator who can remain calm and organised when managing high-priority incidents and competing demands. • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical teams. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a natural curiosity for identifying root causes and process improvements. • Proven experience coordinating cross functional teams and driving actions through to completion. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear updates to a wide range of stakeholders. • A process oriented mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and suggest improvements. • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Experience producing reports, analysing trends and using data to identify opportunities for improvement. • An interest in technology, platforms and operational excellence, without necessarily needing a deep technical background. • A proactive and self motivated approach, with a desire to contribute to the ongoing development of a growing function.
