The Role Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders across Crown Melbourne, helping to ensure risks are effectively identified, assessed, managed and reported.
This is a highly visible role that offers the opportunity to influence risk culture, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to operational excellence within one of Australia's most recognised entertainment and hospitality organisations.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to support effective risk management practices.
• Provide guidance on Crown's Risk Management Strategy and associated frameworks.
• Review and challenge risk assessments and departmental risk profiles.
• Monitor, analyse and report on key operational, financial and regulatory risks.
• Support the identification, escalation and resolution of risk incidents and issues.
• Assess the effectiveness of controls and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Provide risk input into business initiatives, projects and strategic decision-making.
• Facilitate risk management training and promote a positive risk culture.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Financial Crime, Responsible Gambling and other assurance functions.
• Engage with regulators and independent bodies as required.
About You You are a proactive and commercially minded risk professional who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing positive business outcomes.
• Ideally 5+ experience in Risk Management or a related discipline within a large or highly regulated organisation.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and controls.
• Exceptional analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to engage, influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience monitoring and reporting on operational, financial and compliance risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
• Experience within the gaming, financial services or other regulated industries.
• Ability to obtain and maintain relevant casino licensing requirements.
