Work Location: 100% On-Site Position Overview The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

The Local Recruitment Manager is responsible for building and sustaining a strong pipeline of diverse, mission-driven AmeriCorps Volunteers to serve with City Year Detroit. This role is highly relationship-oriented and community-facing, requiring someone who is energized by connecting with people, representing City Year in the community, and cultivating partnerships that generate prospective applicants.

Working closely with the AmeriCorps Volunteer Experience & Recruitment Director, the Local Recruitment Manager supports local recruitment efforts through outreach, relationship building, applicant engagement, interviewing, and transition into service. The Local Recruitment Manager also plays an important role in supporting volunteer experience initiatives and maintaining meaningful relationships with City Year Detroit alumni. Job Description Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Community Engagement

• Represent City Year Detroit at recruitment fairs, campus events, career fairs, community events, and other outreach opportunities.

• Proactively identify and pursue new recruitment opportunities that strengthen the volunteer pipeline.

• Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, community organizations, workforce development partners, and other recruitment partners.

• Serve as a visible and enthusiastic ambassador for City Year throughout the Detroit community.

• Conduct presentations and information sessions for prospective applicants.

Recruitment Strategy & Pipeline Management

• Partner with the AmeriCorps Volunteer Experience & Recruitment Director to develop and execute annual recruitment strategies.

• Assist in establishing annual recruitment goals and monitor progress toward targets.

• Collaborate closely with City Year's national recruitment team and local campus recruiters to align recruitment efforts and messaging.

• Maintain accurate recruitment data using TargetX and other recruitment systems.

• Analyze recruitment data to identify trends and improve outreach strategies.

Applicant Selection

• Support applicant engagement and communication throughout the recruitment and transition to service process in partnership with City Year’s admissions and onboarding teams.

• Manage applicant communication throughout the onboarding process.

• Conduct interviews with prospective AmeriCorps volunteers.

• Provide applicants with timely support and guidance through each stage of the hiring process.

Volunteer Experience Support

• Support onboarding activities and new volunteer orientation.

• Assist with recruitment and volunteer-related events throughout the year.

• Provide administrative support related to volunteer recruitment and onboarding.

• Support AmeriCorps Volunteers in accessing resources that contribute to a successful service year, including referrals to available community support as needed.

• Support AmeriCorps Volunteers in skills development, workforce development, and career pathways initiatives throughout the year.

Alumni Engagement

• Assist with maintaining relationships with City Year Detroit alumni.

• Support the development department with alumni communications and engagement initiatives.

• Help identify opportunities for alumni involvement in recruitment, events, and organizational activities.
