The Role As an Associate Systems Engineer, you will help our customers to respond to ever evolving threats, based on our expertise in secured navigation, training, secure communication platforms, intelligence, surveillance and cyber security. Day-to-day, you’ll deliver mission winning innovation into global defence, security, and critical national infrastructure markets providing high quality, independent technical advice to a wide range of customers, in support of major acquisition programmes, and developing our own range of world-leading products Your responsibilities will include: <ul style="margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:8.0pt"> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 8.0pt 24.0px;line-height:115%">Engaging with external stakeholder communities, gathering material and understanding their requirements</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 8.0pt 24.0px;line-height:115%">Supporting and undertaking the technical design as guided by more senior Systems Engineers</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 8.0pt 24.0px;line-height:115%">Collaborating with other members of project teams</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 8.0pt 24.0px;line-height:115%">Identifying potential issues such as delivery problems</li> </ul> Essential experience of the Associate Systems Engineer: <ul style="margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:8.0pt"> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 8.0pt 24.0px;line-height:115%">Previous experience in an Engineering or Science based role an advantage</li> </ul> Essential qualifications for the Associate Systems Engineer: <ul style="margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:8.0pt"> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 8.0pt 24.0px;line-height:115%">Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or technical discipline</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 8.0pt 24.0px;line-height:115%">Professional qualification or working towards one</li> </ul> We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you. The Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities.
