<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Purpose</H2> </div><div><p><em> </em>The Buyer is responsible for providing purchasing support to the spoolbase ensuring that all work for Technip UK Ltd is provided in accordance with Company approved standards and governance.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Description</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Provide sourcing support for Spoolbase as required, focused on offering cost effective solutions and, where appropriate, alternative products</li> <li>Maintain good communication with the Requestor to ensure that they are appraised of the Requisition status</li> <li>Critical review of requests for quotation, requisitions and specifications received to ensure they are correctly completed in accordance the governance, procedures and policies</li> <li>Selection of approved vendors and consolidation of tail spend orders with a focus on channeling spend through our procurement house/frame agreements, ensuring reduction of transaction costs</li> <li>Negotiation / review of quotations to ensure best price and product is procured</li> <li>Progress Requisitions to ensure timely delivery and minimise Requisition backlog</li> <li>Work to set deadlines and be responsible for own time management with regular feedback on activity to the Department Head and to the Customer</li> <li>Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behavior</li> <li>Deal with queries relating to delivery of requisitioned items e.g. Invoice queries, short deliveries etc.</li> <li>Compliance with QHSES requirements</li> <li>Increase other Department awareness of the Purchasing function</li> <li>Customer focused striving for excellent service delivery performance</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">You are meant for this job if:</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Sound knowledge & experience in Oil & Gas procurement</li> <li>Familiarity with supply chains.</li> <li>Ability to work in fast‑paced, global operations environments.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required.</li> <li>Must work collaboratively with all members of the Purchasing team and other Departments within the Company</li> <li>Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Someone who is adaptable to change and a fast pace environment.</li> <li>Maintain awareness of, and compliance with the Management System procedures (GOPS) which directly affect the work undertaken</li> <li>Customer focused striving for excellent service delivery performance</li> <li>Ability to deal effectively with deadlines within a fast paced environenment</li> <li>Experience with ERP systems</li> <li>Ability to negotiate commercial solutions effectively for our customers</li> <li>Engaged and proactive in effective Supplier Management</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Nice to have: </strong></p> <p>Experience with Oracle system & SAP (S4/HANA)</p> <p>Experience / knowledge in spoolbase procurement</p></div></div></div>
