<p><strong>Where You Will Work</strong> </p> <p>Our office is located in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans, Louisiana. Employees in New Orleans mostly follow a hybrid schedule where they are required to work in office, attend in-person meetings or training and may also collaborate virtually. New Orleans is a popular tourist destination known for its rich history, architecture, cultural arts, music, and cuisine. Many great hotels, galleries, restaurants, and museums are a short walk from the office. </p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What You Will Do</b></H2> </div><div><p><em>Manage engineering, procurement, and construction management activities within the mining company. Project manager will generally be responsible for projects in the $200 million range.</em></p> <ul> <li>As the Project Manager Engineering II, you are responsible for planning and executing the safety, engineering, procurement, construction, and customer service for major capital projects within the company.</li> <li>In this role, you are accountable for the scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality associated with projects within the mining company while monitoring work performance and instituting cost controls for projects.</li> <li>You will review and/or develop scopes of work for potential projects within the company and support senior project managers on projects with a value in excess of $200 million.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What You Bring To Freeport</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>High School Diploma and thirteen (13) years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, and construction; <strong>OR</strong></li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field and minimum of eight (8) years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, and construction.</li> <li>Thorough understanding of an engineering discipline.</li> <li>Ability to take a leadership role in the management of a project.</li> <li>Ability to coordinate multi-disciplined work.</li> <li>Strong (oral and written) communication and documentation skills.</li> <li>Strong business ethics.</li> <li>Ability to manage construction projects from inception to completion.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.</li> <li>Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machines and photocopier.</li> <li>Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Experience in scoping and estimating project costs.</li> <li>Experience in mining/mineral industry</li> </ul></div></div></div><p><strong>What We Offer You </strong></p> <p>The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently <strong>$130,000 - $180,000. </strong>This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.
