<p>Production Associate</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><b>Summary of Job Content: </b> </p> <p>Safely operate equipment and perform physical labor to manufacture porous carbon in accordance to defined SOP's and quality standards. Maintain a clean work environment. </p> <p>Perform any other duties, as required by the department supervisor or manager, to support department, plant and company objectives and/or goals. </p> <p><br> <b>Core Competencies: </b></p> <ul> <li>Understand and follow instructions. Read, write, listen, and communicate verbally. </li> <li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. </li> <li>Learn and execute specific tasks with minimal supervision. Train new employees when required. </li> <li>Understand material grades and markings. Assist with inventory control through the proper sorting and segregation of materials. </li> <li>Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Understand and follow all company policies and procedures. </li> <li>Operate mobile and process equipment. Perform physical labor. Ascend and descend stairs and ladders; push, pull, lift, grasp, and pinch. </li> <li>Recognize and correct out of specification situations, and notify supervision. </li> <li>Correctly add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions into decimals. </li> <li>Effectively and efficiently perform autonomous maintenance on equipment as required. </li> <li>Accurately complete and interpret all required paperwork and process documentation. </li> <li>Know how and where to access operations manuals and specifications. </li> <li>Perform all work assignments in a safe and efficient manner and obey/follow all departmental and general company safety rules, policies and procedures. </li> <li>Demonstrate a high level of situational awareness, good housekeeping practices, and commitment to quality.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Requirements: </b></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li> <li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail </li> <li>Ability to prioritize and multi-task </li> <li>Team oriented but can work independently </li> <li>Proactive owner of processes </li> <li>Commitment to safety (i.e., high level of situational awareness) </li> <li>Commitment to quality (i.e., SGL Excellence) </li> <li>Self Motivated </li> <li>Quick learner</li> </ul> <p> <br> <b>Preferred Experience:</b> </p> <ul> <li>2-3 yrs industrial manufacturing environment </li> <li>Licensed fork-lift operator </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Routine Travel Requirement: </b> 0%<br> #CB1</p>
