Retail Sales Manager, you will <strong>lead the commercial and operational performance </strong>of Moco Museum's retail stores across Amsterdam, London and Barcelona.</li><li>Based at our headquarters in Amsterdam, you will shape <strong>retail strategy, drive performance and ensure operational excellence</strong>across every location.</li><li>You will <strong>partner</strong> closely with Store Managers, Operations, and the Buying & Merchandise team to optimise results and deliver a consistent, high-quality visitor experience.</li><li>This is a <strong>hands-on leadership role, combining strategic oversight with regular travel to coach teams, share best practices and strengthen performance across our international museums.</strong></li><li>You will play a key role in the continued growth of Moco's retail business, ensuring every store reflects the <strong>quality, creativity and ambition</strong> of the Moco Museum brand.</li></ul> KEY RESPONSIBILITIES <ul><li><strong>Global Retail Operations:</strong> Oversee the operational performance of all retail locations, ensuring consistency in service standards, visual merchandising and day-to-day execution across Amsterdam, London and Barcelona.</li><li><strong>Commercial Performance:</strong> Drive retail sales growth by monitoring KPIs, analysing sales performance and identifying opportunities to improve revenue, conversion, average transaction value and overall store profitability.</li><li><strong>Store Leadership & Coaching:</strong> Lead the Stores Managers/Team Leaders support them in achieving operational excellence while fostering engaged, high-performing teams.</li><li><strong>Travel & Store Visits:</strong> Conduct regular visits to all museum locations to audit operations, support local teams, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with company standards and strategic objectives.</li><li><strong>Retail Standards & Best Practices:</strong> Establish, implement and continuously improve retail operating procedures, ensuring all stores consistently meet Moco Museum's brand standards, operational guidelines and customer experience expectations.</li><li><strong>Performance Analysis:</strong> Monitor sales data, inventory performance and operational metrics to identify trends, optimize processes and implement continuous improvements across the retail network.</li><li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with Museum Operations and stakeholder Departments to align retail initiatives with exhibitions, campaigns, product launches and commercial objectives.</li><li><strong>Inventory & Merchandising Oversight:</strong> Partner with the Buying & Merchandise Team and support Store leadership in maintaining optimal stock levels, inventory accuracy and visual merchandising standards while identifying opportunities to improve product assortment and retail presentation.</li><li><strong>New Store & Project Support:</strong> Lead the retail operational setup for new store openings, relocations or refurbishment projects, ensuring successful implementation of systems, processes and team readiness.</li><li><strong>Training & Development:</strong> Develop and deliver training programs and best practices for the Store Teams to ensure consistency in customer service, product knowledge and sales techniques across all locations.</li><li><strong>Compliance & Operational Excellence:</strong> Ensure all retail locations comply with company policies, operational procedures, health & safety regulations and relevant local legislation.</li><li><strong>Brand Ambassador:</strong> Champion the Moco Museum brand by creating exceptional retail experiences that complement the museum visit while building a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across all retail teams.</li></ul> REQUIREMENTS <ul><li>Degree in Business Management, Retail Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Operations Management or a related field.</li><li>5–8 years of experience in a retail leadership role, with proven responsibility for managing multiple stores or locations, preferably within retail, hospitality, tourism, attractions or other high-volume customer-facing environments.</li><li>Experience with retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, POS systems and operational reporting.</li><li>Demonstrated success in driving retail sales performance, improving operational efficiency and delivering commercial growth across multiple locations.</li><li>Strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience developing Store Managers, Team Leaders and retail teams to achieve high performance.</li><li>Excellent analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends and translate insights into actionable business improvements.</li><li>Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple initiatives and manage stakeholders across different countries and teams.</li><li>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence, coach and collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.</li><li>Proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for
