Your mission We're looking for a YouTube Specialist / Video Editor who understands that editing is more than assembling clips, it's about crafting stories that keep our existing and target audiences engaged. If you're passionate about storytelling in sports, obsessed with YouTube, and know what makes fans click and keep watching, we'd love to hear from you. <br><br>This is not a traditional editing role. We're looking for someone who understands the platform, follows industry trends, and can help elevate EuroLeague's content strategy. <br> <br>Note: This is not a videographer/shooter role for games. It’s a bonus but not what defines this role. <br><br><strong>What you'll do </strong><br><ul><li><span><span>Edit short,</span><span>mid</span><span>and long-form YouTube content, including documentaries, features, player stories, behind-the-scenes content, interviews,</span><span>mic'd</span><span>up content, and original series.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Shape compelling narratives from raw footage</span></span></li><li><span><span>Collaborate with producers, social media managers, videographers, and creative leads from concept to delivery.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Optimize</span><span>videos for YouTube audiences through strong intros, pacing, retention-focused editing, and effective visual storytelling.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Contribute ideas for new YouTube formats and recurring series.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Edit content around major competitions, including the EuroLeague season, Playoffs, and Final Four.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Incorporate graphics, music, sound design, subtitles, and motion elements to enhance storytelling.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Manage multiple editing projects while</span><span>maintaining</span><span>high production standards and meeting deadlines.</span></span></li></ul> Your profile We're looking for someone who:<br><ul><li><span><span>Has </span></span><span><span>3+ years of professional editing experience</span></span><span><span>, preferably in:</span></span><ul><li><span><span>Professional sports</span></span></li><li><span><span>Sports leagues</span></span></li><li><span><span>Clubs</span></span></li><li><span><span>Sports media</span></span></li><li><span><span>Creative agencies working with sports</span></span></li></ul></li><li><span><span>Has a strong understanding of YouTube as a platform, including audience behavior, retention, thumbnails, titles, and storytelling.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Has experience editing mid- and long-form content.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Understands how to build emotional, engaging sports stories.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Has excellent storytelling instincts and attention to pacing.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Is</span><span>proactive, creative, and comfortable pitching</span><span>ideas.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Thrives in a fast-paced content environment.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Can manage multiple projects simultaneously.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Genuine interest in sports; prior sport-related job experience is preferred.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Has</span><span>availability</span><span>to work flexibly around the game schedule, including evenings and weekends during live games and major events like the Final Four.</span></span></li></ul><strong>Required skills </strong><br><ul><li><span><span>Adobe Premiere Pro </span></span></li><li><span><span>Adobe After Effects </span></span></li><li><span><span>Adobe Photoshop</span></span></li><li><span><span>Strong understanding of audio mixing and sound design</span></span></li><li><span><span>Motion graphics knowledge is a plus</span></span></li><li>Excellent organizational and project management skills</li></ul><strong>Bonus if you have </strong><br><ul><li><span><span>Experience working within professional basketball or another major sport.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience editing documentary-style content.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience producing YouTube Originals or episodic content.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Knowledge of YouTube Analytics and audience retention metrics.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience creating thumbnails or collaborating on thumbnail design.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Familiarity with AI-assisted editing workflows and tools.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Color grading experience.</span></span></li></ul><strong>Other Requirements </strong><br><ul><li><span><span>Based</span><span>in</span><span>or willing to</span><span>relocate</span><span>to Barcelona.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Fluent in English;</span><span>additional</span><span>European languages are a plus.</span></span></li><li><span><span>EU nationality or a valid Spanish work/residency permit.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Willing to travel across the EU (10–15%).</span></span></li><li><span><span>Genuine passion for sports; prior experience in a sports-related role is a plus.</span></span></li></ul>
