Job summary
Our dispensary is a busy and rewarding environment, supporting patients who live outside Oundle. We also provide compliance aids (dossett boxes) for patients who need additional support managing their medication.
As a dispenser, you will play an important role in reviewing medication at a basic level (DRUM checks), supporting safe prescribing and patient care.
This post is a 26.25 hour per week vacancy.

Main duties of the job
Your key responsibilities will include:
Dispensing prescriptions safely and accurately Ordering, receiving, and managing stock levels Assisting patients with prescription queries Ensuring all medicines are stored correctly, including controlled drugs and refrigerated items Maintaining accurate records, including Controlled Drug registers Handling prescription charges and processing FP10 forms Ensuring prescriptions are correctly endorsed and submitted for reimbursement Prioritising and managing workload effectively
You will also contribute to wider dispensary projects across Lakeside when required.

Qualifications Essential
Good standard of education NVQ2 Dispensing
Experience Essential
Customer Service Skills Experience of working as a Dispenser within a GP Surgery Experience of working in a busy & multi-functional team.
Desirable
Knowledge of using SystmOne (Clinical database) A minimum of three years' experience in a customer facing environment Experience of handling confidential information and data.
