Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Salaried GP, to join our established team here at Handforth Health Centre for 3.75 sessions per week. Ideal for portfolio careers. We provide the full range of NHS General Medical Services to our registered patients, and our aim is to provide personalised, quality healthcare. As a Salaried GP, you will be supported by, and work with, a diverse multi-skilled professional team of clinical and non-clinical friendly staff, providing high quality, person-centred, holistic clinical care to patients registered within the practice.
This is a permanent role subject to ongoing ARRS funding arrangements.
Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GP you will be expected to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, doing triage, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Your weekdays will include working Wednesdays and Fridays. Furthermore, you will be expected to undertake duty doctor sessions in proportion to your sessions at the practice.
About us
Handforth Health Centre is a well-established practice with approximately 10,500 patients. We are part of CHAW PCN (Chelford, Handforth Alderley Edge and Wilmslow practices) and work closely with the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB. We have 4 GP partners, 5 salaried GPs, 2, ACPs, 2 Practice Nurses and 3 HCA. In addition, we have a large admin and reception team using their experience to provide workflow optimisation and efficiencies to release clinical time, all supported by an experienced forward thinking Practice Management team.

Qualifications Essential
Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register MRCGP Be included on the NHS England medical performers list Professional standing - Not be prohibited from providing services due to regulation breaches (e.g., NHS Performers Lists Regulations). Not be suspended from practice by the NHS or from the GMCs list of medical practitioners. Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983. Knowledge and Skills Essential
We are an EMIS Web practice, utilising a variety of digital technologies (Accurx, Lexacom Scribe). With a progressive approach to the Modern General Practice Model. We work closely with our ARRS staff through the PCN and have a high standard of care for our community and Care Home patients. We would like to enlist an innovative individual with a desire to improve the practice.
Desirable
We are looking for committed candidates with a good work ethic. Experience of working in Primary care or a GP practice would be a plus.
