We are looking for a motivated and confident practitioner to join our team as a Band 7 Urgent Care Practitioner. This role offers the chance to work autonomously within a stand-alone UTC, managing a wide range of presentations.
You will use your advanced assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills to provide safe, effective care, supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. Contributing to the delivery of high-quality urgent care for our coastal and rural communities. Giving you the opportunity to maintain and develop a broad clinical skill set.
We are willing to offer a relocation package to suitable candidates, if you do not live local and are interested in the role. We can discuss a relocation package and incentives available upon appointment of the role.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse or Paramedic with a background in Urgent or Emergency Care to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team within the Unscheduled Care Service.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled practitioner to work autonomously while collaborating closely with colleagues across healthcare disciplines. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care to patients presenting with a wide range of undiagnosed and undifferentiated conditions, using advanced assessment and decision-making skills to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
In this rewarding role, you will independently undertake clinical assessments, including triage, diagnosis, treatment, referral, review, and discharge planning. Drawing on your advanced clinical knowledge and expertise, you will play a key role in ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care, helping to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Qualifications, Education and Training Essential
Registered professional either HCPC paramedic or NMC live registration Post Graduate Bsc in Autonomous or advanced practice / or relevant to role Prepared to undertake or hold a recognised non-medical prescribing qualification Minor injury and illness training
Desirable
Teaching qualification or demonstrable experience in informal/formal teaching/CPD of others to mentor students Masters Level qualification e.g MSc in advanced practice or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience through a combination of advanced clinical practice, master level modules/formal courses relevant to area of expertise IRMER Training Undertake audits or research as part of role.
