Job summary

Band 7 Practice Development Nurse/AHP

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Education and Practice Development Team for a Band 7 Practice Development Nurse orAllied Health Professional (AHP).

We are looking for a dynamic RegisteredNurse or Allied Health Professional who is passionate about supporting the education and development of others and upholding high standards of patient care.

You must be clinically up-to-date, have excellent communication skills, demonstrate values and behaviours that align to our Trust CARE values and be able to inspire, motivate and empower others.

Experience of supporting new staff/learners within a clinical area is essential.

You will join a highly motivated, innovative and friendly team who are committed to improving patient care and work on a wide range of Trust-wide, and regional projects and initiatives to achieve this.

We will offer you a full induction to the role and the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the education field.

This is a full-time post for 37.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday, with the occasional need to work at a weekend.

Informal visits are encouraged.

Main duties of the job

To promote high quality, innovative patient care by facilitating clinical developments and providing education to individual staff and/or teams.

Provide strategic direction on specific local and national initiatives.

To provide advice for staff at all levels in the organisation on current local and national professional issues and the actual or potential implications for the Trust.

Promote collaborative inter professional working and development Trust wide and with key stakeholders.

Qualifications Essential

Registered Nurse/ AHP

Desirable

Extensive experience as assessor/ supervisor for students or other learners

Experience Essential

Leadership experience in a senior Nursing/ AHP role Experience leading practice improvement initiatives Able to demonstrate understanding of the role, and a clear motivation for applying

Desirable

Experience managing others
