Working as part of a multi -professional Research and Innovation department you will work across our friendly and supportive academic and research delivery teams.

You will support the life cycle of local research projects from design through to publication, as well as supporting the delivery of national research projects.

You will be involved in research projects across a range of specialty areas within mental health and physical health.

Main duties of the job

You will support Keele University and our Trust's academic team to carry out commissioned research and evaluation projects.

Working as part of the Trust's research delivery team you will also work across a range of studies, including observational research, novel drug therapy and clinical interventions, participating in the recruitment and follow up of patients to research studies, under the direction of research nurses and practitioners.

Job description Job responsibilities

Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board

Assisting with research projects, designing, collecting and analysing data, reporting and liaising with stakeholders Communicating about and promoting the work of the Research and Innovation department through appropriate media (personal interaction, websites, social media) Delivering national NIHR portfolio research activity to time and target Administering questionnaires, disease specific assessment scales, collection of samples including blood, saliva and urine Providing education and support to other staff about research methods, acting as a resource for those wishing to undertake research projects Travel to Keele University and across the geography of the Trust as required by specific projects Supporting the work of the mobile research units

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Relevant bachelor degree

Desirable

Further post graduate study / training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis.

Experience Essential

Experience of research within a healthcare environment

Desirable

Experience of working in direct care provision

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge and experience of research methodology
