About this role

Job summary We are looking for an experienced Phlebotomist with a knowledge of working within a general practice environment to join our supportive and friendly team. CGH Partnership are looking for a Phlebotomist for 30 hours per week. Main Responsibilities: Keys duties will include: Obtaining blood samples of the appropriate quality, taken with minimal stress to patients, which will help with patients diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities also involve accurately labelling samples and preparing them for pathology department analysis, making necessary patient record notes, and demonstrating the skillful patient engagement required for taking blood. The ideal candidate will have experience in a primary care setting with completed phlebotomist training, excellent patient care and bedside manner, the ability to calmly address anxious patients, effective communication skills for explaining procedures, understanding of infection control and sterilization practices, and familiarity with medical procedures and protocol adherence.
