Job summary Join Jacob Neurological centre as a Bank Porter where you will be part of creating an efficient and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. As a Bank Porter, you will be responsible for organising clinical waste areas for disposal, removal of waste from the buildings, delivering and retrieving linen for the units, receiving and delivering Oxygen canisters, including changing oxygen canisters, driving service users to external appointments. You will be liaising with the waste management team, linen management and all delivery teams for clinical consumables. Main duties of the job As a Bank Porter, you will be responsible for organising clinical waste areas for disposal, removing waste from buildings, delivering and retrieving linen, receiving and delivering oxygen canisters, and driving service users to appointments. You'll liaise with teams for clinical consumables delivery. Also, you'll manage enteral feed delivery, pharmacy deliveries, and sample collections. You'll support clinical and operational teams for smooth operations. Training is provided to get you started. Candidates should ideally have experience in portering or maintenance, enjoy being busy, prioritize duties effectively, communicate well, have good attention to detail, and resolve problems efficiently.

As a Bank Porter you will be:
Receiving, organising, and delivering to the correct units bi-weekly enteral feed delivery for service users Receiving pharmacy deliveries and ensuring delivery of items to correct unit Collecting and delivering samples to local trust General support to the clinical teams and operational teams to ensure smooth running of the operational side of the business. To be successful in this role, you will:

Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre have a combined total of 132 beds on the same site in Sawbridgeworth (CM21 0HH), which is on the Hertfordshire and Essex border within easy travelling distance of London and Cambridge.
The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability. Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.
Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with over 95% on single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according to their assessments and needs.
