Job summary
We are looking for a First Responder to join our team to support clients across London, mainly clients in the South West London areas.
Full training will be given to set you on your path to being a First Responder. This position offers a variety of shifts and may involve day, night, sleeping/waking nights and attracts a competitive rate of pay, after training has been completed. (training provided during recruitments checks).
The successful applicant will be providing support to both adults and children who have the following needs:
Complex health needs
Clinical Interventions
Moving and Handling
Learning disabilities
Autism
Hours of work:
36 hours per week on a 3 on 3 off basis, paid a static 36 hours per week. You will work on a three day on, three day off rotation which includes working days, nights and weekends during your rotation which may be at short notice
Main duties of the job
Qualities successful applicants will have:
Must have atleast 3 years experience in care
Be willing to undergo all training required to meet the needs of the client
Desirable Qualities:
Experience working with clients that have clinical interventions
Experience of working with clients that have mental health challenges LD
Level 2 or higher qualification in health and social care
Benefits:
Hourly rate of £18.24 per hour
Transport Allowance = £250.00 per month
5.6 weeks paid annual leave per annum
Your responsibilities as a First Responder will include: Assisting and supporting vulnerable clients to enable them to live the life they choose (where possible) to promote their independence. Your role will include, companionship, supporting with housework, running errands and supporting with preparing and cooking meals. Administering medication may be required.
Skills and Experience required of our First Responder:
You are required to have good communication skills and have a desire to care for others. You are required to hold a full UK driving license, and have access to your own vehicle. Some previous experience would be advantageous.
