Job summary
We have a for vacancy for a qualified Assistant Technical Officer to join the East London NHS FoundationTrust Pharmacy on bank.. The post holder will be an integral part of the team, participating in the full range of dispensing activities. They will also provide top up duties to ensure stock is maintained in the most appropriate way.
You should have great communication and interpersonal skills; be motivated, flexible and adaptable; and be able to work in an ever changing environment.
You will be expected to develop good working relationships with other staff within the pharmacy and the hospital.
All applicants must have completed the pharmacy service assistant apprenticeship or equivalent pharmacy services modules at level 2, covering law & ethics, assembly, supply, and handling stock.

Person Specification
Education/ Qualification/ Training Essential
oPharmacy Service Assistant Apprenticeship or equivalent pharmacy services modules at Level 2, to include assembly, supply, handling stock, law and ethics oGCSE passes at C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
Experience Essential
oPrevious employment in pharmacy
Desirable
oWork experience in a hospital pharmacy oMental Health Experience oExperience of directing & instructing staff oExperience of dealing with the public oExperience of problem solving oExperience of ordering and invoicing
Knowledge and Skills Essential
oIntermediate computer skills oGood written and oral communication skills oAbility to work carefully with attention to detail oAbility to work unsupervised in an organised manner oAbility to plan work & meet targets oDemonstrates an understanding of good time management skills oUnderstands the need for written policies and procedures oHas an understanding of the need for patient confidentiality
