Main duties of the job
Provide high-quality, safe, and effective primary care services to patients, including face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations. Manage a varied clinical caseload, including acute, chronic, and complex conditions, in line with best practice and current guidelines. Undertake home visits as required. Prescribe medications appropriately and in accordance with local and national guidance. Maintain accurate, clear, and contemporaneous clinical records. Participate in duty doctor/triage systems where required. Deliver patient-centred care with a strong focus on continuity and personalised treatment. Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met for both adults and children. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits. Adhere to clinical governance frameworks and support a culture of safety and learning.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Fully qualified GP with current GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register Experience working in UK general practice Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to manage a broad range of conditions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to high standards of patient care and continuous improvement
Desirable
Experience in leading or supporting service development initiatives Interest in developing a specialist area or additional clinical responsibility Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment
