Job Summary: Responsible for assessing SME and Commercial financing applications, identifying key credit risks, and recommending prudent credit decisions to support sustainable business growth and asset quality management.
Job Accountabilities: Credit Evaluation & Risk Assessment
• Conduct independent and objective credit assessments of SME and Commercial credit applications, including new, renewal, enhancement, and review requests.
• Evaluate borrowers' business models, financial performance, repayment capacity, industry outlook, management capability, and key risk factors.
• Perform comprehensive credit due diligence, identify emerging risks, recommend appropriate mitigants, and formulate balanced credit recommendations for approval authorities.
• Assess credit structures, financing terms, collateral coverage, covenant packages, and security arrangements to ensure prudent risk management.
Portfolio Monitoring & Asset Quality Management
• Monitor assigned credit portfolio to identify early warning signals, deterioration in credit quality, industry vulnerabilities, and emerging risks.
• Recommend timely remedial actions and risk mitigation measures to preserve asset quality and minimize potential credit losses.
• Support periodic portfolio reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting requirements where applicable.
Business Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner closely with Business Units to develop sound financing structures and commercially viable solutions that align with the Bank's risk appetite.
• Provide independent credit perspectives and constructive challenges to strengthen financing proposals and credit submissions.
• Ensure timely turnaround of credit evaluations and responses to internal stakeholders while maintaining quality and consistency of assessment.
Policy, Governance & Compliance
• Ensure all credit evaluations comply with the Bank's credit policies, risk framework, delegated authority limits, regulatory requirements, and applicable guidelines.
• Maintain a balanced approach between business growth, risk management, profitability, and asset quality objectives.
• Contribute to continuous enhancement of credit processes, evaluation standards, and risk management infrastructure.
Job Requirement:
• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Those with CCP/PCP are an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years in credit processing, analysis and evaluation or exposure in sales marketing of SME/commercial loans.
• Capable of working independently with minimum supervision, possess strong credit analytical skills and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial analysis, loan structuring, and risk mitigation techniques.
