As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Engineering team, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities
• Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications • Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements. • Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems • Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications • Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations. • Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses • Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications • Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 6+ years applied experience • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity. • Operating knowledge of two or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as software defined networks / zero touch provisioning, SD-WAN, fabric switching, Wi-Fi, and network security technologies and practices. • Proficient in specific network infrastructure technology and programming languages (e.g., Python, Ansible, etc.) • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations. • Technical knowledge across multiple domains • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds • Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Experience with wired/wireless LAN/BGP WAN/SD-WAN and 802.1x technologies from vendors including Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Fortinet, and Forescout • Exhibits a growing initiative and the ability to manage assigned tasks efficiently, seeking guidance when needed and showing a willingness to find solutions and contribute to improvements with some supervision. • Demonstrates strong communication skills, conveying ideas and challenges with clarity and precision to support understanding and effective collaboration
